The secret of perfect oxygenation in fish water or swimming ponds? The oxygen must flow in as fine bubbles. Small air bubbles rise more slowly in the pond than large ones and thus cause a more intensive transfer of atmospheric oxygen into the pond water. But what is the best choice for this job? Aerator ring or aerator rod? How to decide for your garden water: Aerator rods work somewhat more discreetly than aerator rings. A rod produces a more or less abundant strand of air beads, while a ring maximises the oxygen input.
